My scanner broke, so I apologize for the horrible quality. This picture was taken Oct. 31, 1989. According to my Mother I was a clown. I hate clowns. -_-

Childhood Memories

My childhood memories was having sleepovers during elementary school with my 3 best friends and talking all through the night mostly about boys of course. Of course your friends trying to embrass you through the night. One time one of my best friends found out I had my crush phone number, I didn’t stalk I was in a group with him. lol Anyway she and the others called him up on the phone, asking the embarrassing questions, for example did he like me, and mostly why if he didn’t. You can guess where I was, hiding away in my room during the whole night. Which is funny now since it was on the phone and he couldn’t see me. lol That memory makes me want to have another sleepover.

What happens to kids these days not having sleepovers or even using the phones to talk. I also remember once taking on the phone with my friend in the basement for 5 hours straight. The most I ever talked lol Now I see them on the cell texting away.

memories

Now, this was later on in the 90s when Tamagotchis came out, but oh man… me and my neighborhood friends went on a collecting spree of every virtual pet we could get our hands on. I remember one summer KB Toys had a bin of Tamagotchis for $8.99, and we made it our goal to get every single color that summer. We did! I still have my entire virtual pet collection even though I’m 26. I can’t part with one of my favorite eras in my childhood….or visit Ebay.

Childhood Memories

I think I spent most of my childhood by the water. If I was hanging out at my lakeside cabin or heading down to one of the local beaches, I was slip’n’sliding in my front yard. I remember one time going with my family to these hot springs in these hills. I miss them so much.

I had two older brothers so they were always wanting to wrestle with me and I really had no choice but to do so. lol. I also spent loads hanging out with my cousins and also at the local zoo.

I had an amazing childhood.

What I remember about my 90s summers as a kid was when my cousins would come and visit us and our parents always wanted to give us something to do so they’d unload all of us at Discovery Zone and we’d play for hours. God I miss that place. When I was about 7 I thought it was the biggest place in the whole world. Best days ever for me.

My Childhood Memory

Back in 1999 I went to Disney in Orlando, Florida for the first time. I was really excited when I got to ride the rides and just have fun with my family. Even went in the Nickelodeon studio it was so fun and well worth waiting in line in the blistering hot sun. Yes I know it’s in Universal Studio but I was exciting about going to both and I will always cherish that memory.

80s/90s memories

Submit things you remember about your child hood.

Here’s mine: Back in 1994 My friends and I use to play outside 24-7. Getting in trouble and having your parents saying “You can’t go outside for 1 week!” was hell! Playing street ball (baseball) in the streets and getting ice pops from the local ice cream man. Having water gun fights against the boys was one of the highlights during summer. We always lost, because the guys had those advance water guns. Anyways, that’s one of my summer memories. What’s yours? SUBMIT!

I went to the same daycare as Megan Frank, daughter of Lisa Frank…

I was SO excited, because I loved Lisa Frank.
But then Megan was a JERK, and it sorta killed Lisa Frank for me…
Or maybe I just got older. I don’t remember. But I really think it was Megan.
